We as adults operate within the sphere of reality and existence which is just as it appears. We are living in a current real-time reality which is now, or has long been, and continues to be a culture of Hatred.
It is the product of our past history going back further than there are records for, including all changes and realizations that have been made and applied, as well as those which were noted and have since been forgotten. The progression of societal evolution has twisted, bent and altered the relationships between people and peoples. We have advanced, regressed, reconsidered and restricted a multitude of thoughts, ideas, beliefs and discoveries. Yet through all our growth and retraction we have as yet to control or remove Hates influence upon us. In fact aside from some very heinous examples such as cannibalism, and barbarous torture, we have made very little progress towards improvement in our culture as it is currently constituted. It could even be argued that because of the tremendous leaps in technology that have been made in the past 50 to 100 years, that we are in a far worse condition than previously listed periods due to the ability for our acts and influences to spread so easily and rapidly. Mass media and telecommunications technology combined with advanced weaponry and ever-increasing strife and attacks on stability and peaceful approaches to differences between individuals, or groups, and nation states: places us at a height of Hatred not seen on such a global scale at any period prior to ours.
And to paint further the bleak picture of our existence, future generations and their even more advanced technologies and potential for apathetic outlooks and decayed sense of morality and civility; gives us cause for concern for not only ourselves as elderly in their future control but, their lives in the control of their children, our grandchildren.
Currently, our popular culture is riddled with cases of savage behaviors being perpetrated by our people on each other. Our Standards of morality have become more and more self-centered with each passing day and less empathetic and sympathetic overall. Great tragedies are matters for concern for a brief length of a news cycle, until the effect of proximal identification reduces general interest and ratings fall, and stories of corruption or celebrity infidelity, etc. titillate our general senses into disinterest for those whose suffering is too remote for us to care about. In this state, we find ourselves as adults misunderstanding the effects of our own behavior on helping to keep the situation as bad as it is and worse still, adding fuel to the fire that threatens to consume society entirely, perhaps in our lifetime.
