Xenophobia is Hate
The Favored
Our idealization of our own group identity, those included as fully human, or mentally and/or physically superior, or worthy of eternal life or whatever special benefit it is they enjoy, that the excluded are not entitled to; helps to create a rigid callousness within their hearts and minds, for the disfavored and an appreciation, Love or affection for the included.
As this applies based on group identity and is not specific to a clan, or family dispute for some past atrocity, it's overall potential for greater evil is high.
When we speak of Xenophobia, we do not know or talk about a condition of active, passionate Hatred for an individual who has wronged us. Nor is it applied to a particular group who we are at war with over territory or material concern. Instead, we speak of our disdain, disgust and of the inferiority of others in a group or multiple groups who, based on their membership in the group; we and our kind are better than, whom therefore we want no involvement with. We have a kind of Hatred for them that is based on difference alone.
Now in an attempt to justify our Hatred to others, or ourselves, we may stereotype their behaviors or beliefs in order to create a profile, accentuating the difference between us, but often these will be petty and of no real bearing on our actual dislike for them.
When we contrast them to our favored group, we see that, yes they are definitely different, and for that reason alone we must not associate with them. If we wish for those things about ourselves to remain unchanged, it is imperative that we isolate ourselves and sanctify our pure souls from their tarnished, compromised and corrupted ones.
Our feelings for them as human beings are less generous than those elsewhere in the world. We might give to charities or causes that address an unfamiliar disease or issue or one which affects a group members family, and have less concern for those we see daily who we deem worthy of our disdain or exclusion. Sort of proximal identification in reverse, except for where we have and associated familiarity with the disease or condition.
