Inequalities and Injustices
As we have discussed or asserted here thus far, human beings in either side of the group identity equation, whether it be inclusion or exclusion, discriminating or discriminated against, privileged or deprived, will experience feelings specific to their position in those equations.
Those who enjoy the (+) positive side, feel justified and more importantly feel those not included deserve to be in the negative (-) side of the equation. Those on the discriminated against and excluded side feel undeserving of their position and are contemptuous of those not only enjoying the positive aspects of the other side, but feel their contempt is justified and, therefore, feel superior to those receiving undue advantage.
As such the active application of the circumstances of inclusion and exclusionary positions fosters the continuation of feelings of superiority and disdain and deprivation and contempt for those who are privileged and oppressors. So that wherever these conditions exist, and to whatever degree they exist, both sides of the equation harbor ill feelings for the other. Because of this equal opportunity or even distribution of opportunity, to be angered, frustrated, jealous, envious, enraged or outraged by each party towards the other; either side is likely to feel themselves to be subjected to injustices and inequities.
