Intolerance of the Non-compliant
As previously mentioned those who cannot bring themselves to or willingly choose not to comply with the rules of everyday polite society are anathema to the authoritarian. Their acceptance of and full support of societal standards and government policies precludes them from having the ability to be tolerant of those who fail to adhere to those worthy standards they support. In their acceptance they rationalize with themselves that though the positions society holds are contrary to their innermost feelings on some issues, their inner feelings are wrong. They surmise that the obvious goal of society's position is the promotion of the greater good and they are willing to submit themselves to such a goal. However, that being said, since they themselves have overcome what they judge to be positions of ignorance and intolerance they would rather not hold, they have no tolerance for those who continue to maintain such an ignorant positions. This is especially true for those who the authoritarian judges to be intelligent or informed enough to have a more enlightened opinion or who should "know better." For this class of people, the authoritarian feels great disdain.
