When we move away from our dependence on survival/self-interest driven thinking and belief patterns, we can resume our honest, independent patterns towards fulfillment of our potential, without the need to lie, cheat and steal and satisfy our every desire at any cost: financial, moral or ethical. Once we are no longer depending on the primal instincts to determine our actions, we can stop using them as excuses for our apathy, deceit, dishonesty, inhumanity, greed, etc. and work to move ourselves and our species forward.
