Consideration: a Sign of Wisdom
In Western cultures and many others, it has become common practice for humans to take on oversimplified views of the applicability of lessons meant to provide guidance. We are often given to taking a simple explanation or cliche and turning it into a hard and fast rule. We use the wisdom provided to us by a lesson learned and try to establish a one size fits all litmus test to judge numerous issues by misusing facts and information never intended to be applied to all circumstances or situations. Ultimately this can generate a dangerous set of circumstances such as the ones we are currently threatened by,where one or more groups feel the need to or desire to dominate the cultures others exist in. This creates tensions and hostilities that can possibly lead to a thermonuclear war being started simply to resolve differences one group found to be intolerable.
